This is one of the most beautiful night markets in Bangkok. The layout and ambience of this place reminds me of Australia, except that it is way hotter. It is more lively in the night. Asiatique is not really suitable for a shopping destination, however there are some shops that sells nice and cheap kitchenware. I would most likely come here only for the food and ambience. It is a nice place to just lounge back and catch up with your loved ones.
Im a big fan of macarons and ice cream. Can you imagine combining the two together? This shop caught my eye and I couldn't resist but to try it. It was actually bigger than you think and I was struggling to eat the macaron ice cream. The taste was average, it just looks tempting.
You can take the BTS (skytrain) to Saphan Taksin station. Then walk to the river. There you can get on a free ferry boat to Asiatique The Riverfront – it’s about 15 minutes and you get to enjoy the nice view of the Chao Phraya river. However, it gets more crowded and you have to queue so I suggest you should arrive around 4pm+. You can also take a taxi. To avoid traffic jam, you should hit the road before 5pm (:
