Gleams and Glam

Thailand is famous for their awesome spa & massage and of course we had to try it out! Let’s relax has many branches all around Thailand. The one I went was in Hua Hin Market village. It was the prettiest spa I have ever been to! The prices are not as expensive compared to those in Singapore. There are many types of massages and treatments to choose from, so I went for the Dream package and Body Scrub. The dream package consists of Foot massage 45mins, Hand Massage 15 mins, Back & Shoulder Massage 30 mins. Some massages I had before, was too painful and I ended up going home with bruises. Surprisingly, the massages here are just nice for me. They seemed pretty skilful, and what I love was when they placed hot towels on your skin after doing each part of your body! That was the best feeling ever (-: It’s cool how they brought us down through a lift for our massage. For the body scrub, I chose Black sesame and Honey. They applied it all over my body and let it sit for 15 mins. I came out of the shower feeling fresher than ever. I’m sure you will love that soft and satin feel of your skin after the treatment.

Let’s not forget the scent of their products. We tried their Jasmine body lotion & shower gel and I just had to get one for myself. Be sure to take a look at their items!!

They even gave us complimentary mango sticky rice and ginger tea after everything was done. It was a relaxing experience after a whole day of walking. Highly recommend this place!

P.s. Book it online 3 days in advance and you will get a 15% discount.

Fire & Dine @Asiatique The Riverfront

After an exhausting day walking down the streets of Chatuchak and Asiatique, we were craving for a relaxing eating place where we could lounge back, chat and listen to classical music. Of course, we did not know the answer to the question “where”. There were tons of eating place around Asiatique and we were certainly indecisive. ( is it just me or when there are too many choices to choose from, it is more difficult to set my eyes on just one thing )

What caught my eye was the beautiful lights hanging all over Fire & Dine. Bottles of wine and beer were placed all over this shop. It sure tempted the drinkers! There’s a grill counter at the entrance of their shop. The slow grilled chickens look so yummy! (They sure know how to attract my attention). Not forgetting that the live band inside could also be heard from outside. Also, the place was packed with people (surprisingly, there was no queue). It is pretty typical that when you see many people eating at a restaurant, we will think that the food is nice. So, we decided to give it a shot!

They serve Thai and Western food so we opted for both! The Grilled Ribeye with Tamarind Sauce (220baht - S$8.95) looked totally appetising from the outside. Oh just you wait until you take a bite, you will be wanting for more! The taste was so special and the sauce made it so much more yummy. It is a must-try if you eat here!(-: The Penne Arrabbiata (260baht - S$10.57) was not too bad, but I suggest you try their meat instead. The grilled chicken at the entrance looked appealing so we decided to order it. The half chicken is 200baht - S$8.13 and the full chicken is 320baht - S$13.02. The breast meat was soft, not from what I expected it to be. The chicken was so tender and the spicy sauce goes well with it. Overall, this was one of the best meals I have eaten in Bangkok. BIG THUMBS UP!
