My very first impression of Chocolate Ville is a place that sells lots of chocolates. HOWEVER, there are no chocolates here. Amazingly, Chocolate Ville is a themed restaurant, sprawling across a big plot of land. Imagine “Dining in the park” with European village theme, romantic classic jazz songs playing in the background. It’s an unique, credible place that you must visit! 

  

                     

  

  Every angle is INSTAGRAM-WORTHY! Be sure to bring along a camera! To be honest, this place looks more beautiful in real life than in pictures (especially at night). Is it just me or does Chocolate Ville give me a Christmas vibe? There is also a mini lighthouse where you can climb up to the highest point and enjoy the magnificent view of the little houses and lake.

  Chocolate Ville offers a highly innovative menu covering the very best of Thai and Western cuisine. Their extensive menu suits every taste-buds. No idea why I forgot to take photo of the food. I guess I was too mesmerised by the beauty of the place. It’s both sensational to eat and a feast for the eyes.
  

  Everyone’s dream is to visit Rome. However visiting Rome, Italy does not have to remain as a dream. There is a Rome Restaurant in Bangkok! Yes, this is real. You can visit the inspired version of Rome at The Rome Restaurant. I was pretty pumped up when I came across this restaurant online and I felt that it’s a must for us to visit. The whole restaurant is styled with a roman theme. It is a perfect place to take pictures during the day. Unfortunately, we were caught in a traffic jam. It took us 2 hours to reach there. Missed out the daylight by the time we arrived at the restaurant. (All is well because the restaurant still looks as beautiful as ever). 

  

  

  

  Rome restaurant serves Thai and Western Cuisine. The great variety of the food menu left us endlessly debating which to order. You will be spoilt for choice. They had good reviews on their Thai dishes, so we decided to give it a try. It was indeed SCRUMPTIOUS and perfect for sharing with great company. I couldn’t remember clearly what we’ve ordered but the Pineapple Fried Rice and Tom Yum Soup was THE BOMB. By far, this is the best tom yum soup I have ever tasted. Be sure to try out their Thai food when you visit. ALSO, visit the place earlier to take nice pictures!!!

  

   [Confession] I am addicted to the Greyhound Famous Fried Chicken Wings (140 baht). If you ever visit Greyhound, order the chicken wings. 1 plate was certainly not enough for 4 persons as we were constantly snatching for it. (Sorry I did not manage to take a nicer shot of it as I just could not resist but to dig in to my food immediately). We also ordered the Calamari Fritti (150 baht) and the Spaghetti with Crab Meat in Prawn Cream Sauce (270 baht) which were also as tasty. 
  Thai Ribeye Steak with Spicy Thai Hot Sauce (320 baht) comes with sticky rice. Can I just say that the sticky rice was one of the nicest that I have eaten!!! (So not exaggerating). The steak was done medium rare. Credits to the delicious Thai Hot Sauce that made everything so TASTY!

  Buffalo Burger (290 baht). The food were inexpensive and also exceedingly savoury. Totally would not mind coming here again!

Smoothie bowls are currently my latest obsession. You can’t miss a week without having a bowl of smoothie. Not to mention, I could eat it almost every day for breakfast. You can never go wrong with a smoothie bowl. Build your own smoothie bowl with this guide below: 1 Cup Frozen Fruit + 1 Frozen, Ripe Banana 1/2 Cup Veggies/Greens 1/2 Cup Liquid 2 Tbsp Protein  Blend all in a mixer and pour into a bowl. Get creative and top with your favourite toppings and you are good to go! These are actually a good alternative for healthy eating and plus, it tastes DELICIOUS!  What I used: 1/2 Cup Frozen Blueberries 1/2 Cup Frozen Strawberries 1 Frozen Banana Handful of spinach 1/2 Cup Yogurt (your choice of flavour) 1/2 Cup Milk (or unsweetened almond milk) 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats  I topped it with blueberries, strawberries and fresh flowers. (The flowers are just for photo taking so please do not eat them)

 

Everyday is a beautiful day for breakfast. Botanist is a lovely sweet way to wake my tastebuds up this weekend. This is not any ordinary cafe, but it is THE Botanist. I’ve always loved the creative works by the Pacamara Boutique Coffee Roasters, Alchemist, Knockhouse Supply Co. Botanist is run by the same team of these popular cafes. I love Pacamara so there is no better excuse than to treat myself to a brunch at Botanist.

Botanist offers indoor and outdoor seating. Of course, I would recommend sitting outdoors as it is covered with greenerys, light bulbs and wooden tables that is great for photo taking.  What we ordered was the Egg Florentine (S$19), French Toast (S$18), and a Breakfast Platter (S$23).

  

  

How to get there? Take to Outram Park Mrt station. From there, instead of taking a right turn to the Local and Populous, make a left turn and walk straight down. You will soon see a sign that says “Knockhouse” and “Botanist”. You will be able to see wall art and greenery that is perfect for photo taking.

Let’s end the week in all the right ways! Head on down to indulge in some brunch goodness in Johor Bahru. What’s more amazing than dining in a container? Coffee Signature emits a casual, fun and clean vibe with strong wood accents on tables and chair, dim lighting and tiny windows that lets in abundant natural sunlight.

  

  

It offers two levels and an outdoor seating area surrounded by potted plants and cactus. Food here were designed with a thought towards flavour.

Cookie Milk was a rather interesting beverage that Coffee Signature offered. You can drink the milk from the cookie cup or from the bottle itself if you wish. (Sorry I could not remember how much it was but I’m guessing it was around RM7-10)  Ice Blended Strawberry Banana RM11.90 (S$3.82) Rose Mousse Cake RM15.90 (S$5.10) was deliriously delicious and desirable.

Salmon Scrambled Egg RM23 (S$7.37).

 

Mini Frittata RM16 (S$5.13).

  

Salmon Egg Benedict RM18 (S$5.77).

We ordered the Sweet Rain RM16.90 (S$5.42). You can choose either Coffee/Tea served with a cotton candy on top of it. The heat from the beverage will cause the cotton candy to melt. This is to provide sweetness to the beverage in a unique way.  With everything being so tantalising, it is impossible to settle for only a dish or two. IT WAS INDEED A BRUNCH-WORTHY WEEKEND! Starker Bistro is a distinctive bistro starring Starker Fresh Beer. I was awe-struck by how beautiful the interior of the place looked. Where can you find such place that takes over the Tuscan Courtyard theme with ceiling high windows that let in a gorgeous amount of natural light. It is a pleasant place to chill at with an indoor and outdoor alfresco area to choose from.

                     

                      

                     

                      

  

  

The great variety of the food menu left us endlessly debating which to order. We finally decided to order the Chicken Sausage Pizza ($9.80) and Pulled Pork Sliders ($16.80). Not forgetting the signature dishes, Fiery Wings ($13.80), Soft Shell Crab Burger ($22.80) and King Prawn Pasta ($19.80). You can also cool things down with a glass of the famous "Lychee Beer" ($8.90) in the midst of the heat. Everything tasted good like how it was presented, almost TOO GOOD to share!
